About this website

This blog is dedicated to our sharings about general car enthusiast life in Singapore and others, a bit of a personal memorial of our youth and what we've done, seen, experienced, enjoyed. Sadly due to how things are run here, not all cars can live a full life as they would be intended. As such, we will try to document whatever we can and archive photos of what will one day become forgottens of the past. Life is a finite experience.

  • If you're looking for any specific content (i.e specific cars, etc), please use the search function and use your PC's Ctrl + F Search function. Unfortunately due to Blogger's shortcomings, the website's search function is not intuitive, so the Ctrl + F function helps alot. Happy reading!

Introduction: Efini

Unofficial face of this blog page. No, I don't smile that often like the logo.

Hello! If I could guess, my post may have been shared to your feed and you consider this website to be.. different from how many write or post nowadays. Or you've seen me on Straits Times of recent and would like to know more. In any case..

Good day! Primarily, I involve myself in real-life locations and events, which will be one of the frequent themes for the blog.

What are my interests?

Primarily older cars. It doesn't have to be infamous or sought after - I have a keen eye on older bangers as a whole, not just the Fast & Furious stereotypes. Whichever oddball take of the past, and I might just have a double take on it.

I do have the interest to write. I mean, this blog site is just that. Archiving is also a little niche, be it cars as the subject, locations, information and more, are what you'll see here often.

Equipment? (applicable to me)

If you are keen on what I normally use, its a Sony a6400 with 55-210mm or 16-50mm lens. Some variations include Samsung smartphones, old iPhone SE, Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo, Samsung NX3000 and a few others. Some like my old iPod Touch (4th generation) have been retired, but you might see some photos here and there of it. The Sony has been and will be my workhorse, which has been for about four years by now.

Any motoring history?

What is a motoring account without a car.. well, its Singapore, so please take it that I am among a very tiny piece of the population who is lucky enough to have one.

As of end of 2025, I own a 1992 Honda Civic Ferio SiR (dubbed Feriko), a 1992 Lotus Elan SE (dubbed Elanmi) and co-own a 2004 Mitsubishi Airtrek Turbo-R. You'll definitely find more of them under the "Ownership talks" section of the page.

Family's joy (note I don't say pride) is a 2009 Mercedes C-Class C350.

Many old flames have come and gone where my family is concerned, but most recently would be a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer EX GT. That car, SJJ7331C, has by now been perished under the watchful sun that is the COE system.

What's a hopeful goal I have?

Wah.. really just keep what I have going. I took the photo below around 2022, thinking prices were already mad. Lo and behold as I rewrite my introduction in 2025 and the mess I keep seeing..

I cannot dream for more, and I don't want to crave for more. The best I can do is hope for COE prices to drop (laughable), and keep those existing for as long as reasonably possible.

Back in 2022, I wrote that my dream cars to own in Singapore was a Daihatsu Charade GTti and Suzuki Swift GTi. Safe to say those dreams are dashed, but I am comfortable with owning other bucket list cars that comparably are better. But, I would like to someday own either, to fulfill that childhood dream.

Anyways, I am one of the core contributors to this blog page, alongside my good mates Emiri, SatriaRX and Inspiron. Thanks for checking in, and I hope you enjoy what you read here.
