About this website

This blog is dedicated to our sharings about general car enthusiast life in Singapore and others, a bit of a personal memorial of our youth and what we've done, seen, experienced, enjoyed. Sadly due to how things are run here, not all cars can live a full life as they would be intended. As such, we will try to document whatever we can and archive photos of what will one day become forgottens of the past. Life is a finite experience.

Pictorial: CnK & May Day Classic Cars Meet 2025

 Good day,

As delivered, this is a pictorial of the Cars 'N' Kopi meet held on Labour Day 2025, in conjunction with the May Day Classic Cars Meet. Likely the busiest Dempsey car meet of recent years, with double-parking and lack of parking spots by the official start of the meet (8 am).

It was incredibly hard to capture all cars involved so I've probably only managed 70% of all that formally attended, say less of any parking formations that had happened. Still, I hope the photos are nice and if your car is included, say hi!

"Dempsey Cat" making an appearance before the onslaught of
gas-guzzling sports cars show up

Plenty astonishing Porsche 356 - I'm not a Porsche expert so I cannot fully comment
on them, but this unit is well-kept for, and still incredibly great to look at.

One of a few (increasing) RB26-hearted cars in Singapore - this one boasts a very fruity engine note

Not just any ordinary Fiat Coupe. Common is the 20V 5-cylinder, but this is a 16V - a 4-cylinder that shares its use in the Lancia Delta. Friend of a friend comments that finding parts for the engine is a huge headache.

Semi-popular and remembered hot hatch that is the Subaru Vivio RX-R. Despite the kei car specifications, the Vivio was a prominent hot hatch with a supercharged-660cc engine, with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive - Singapore market cars generally offer only front-wheel drive, however a conversion to all-wheel drive was done in Singapore at one point in time.

Seeing use and success in the pasttime of Kallang carpark rallies should be indicative that the Vivio is actually a decent car, but they weren't a long-term car. This is the only Vivio RX-R left registered.

Boost blue combination - this color is increasingly popular across all Civic generations

Black & White filters and this photo could be mistaken for a blast in the past

Spoon collection - all donned with Spoon colors and parts, a RetroHavoc-worthy lineup

Ford GT40 on display with other equally eye-catching cars

Hello again. The Lotus Emira SE Turbo that I have written about.

A 240Z that was also present for display at a previous SGRetroCar event. Then and now it still looks superb.

80s excess - instead of conventional headlights, why not settle for quad foglights?
(that act as headlights)

Hello again. The S402 wheels are a really nice touch.

What I hear to be a very rare instance of the local FN2R club convoying their way into a meet.

Pretty S2 Elise, thumbs up from me

A BMW-collaborated event attracts the best BMWs that the country has,
one being a M3 CSL

Happy to hear the 2002 was ready right before this CnK.

Lack of parking spaces and these two off-roaders have opted to park on the grass. Grand idea, and it makes for a super good backdrop.

Tightly parked up but still great to note - a MK4 Volkswagen Golf GTi.
Maybe one of two/three still registered

@autoicons_official and their sourced Honda NSX - figure a particular friend was very
glad to see this example.

About four years since first setting my eyes on this Testarossa - in another article will I release my photos from that time, I'm happy to revisit this car again.

Momentary sea of red - best seen when all of the Ferraris
parked with each other in the back - I wasn't there to capture it.

Props to the beautiful condition of this Honda Civic SiR.
For its age, the leather-ed interior is expected but the exterior
condition is stunning. A big surprise to see this.

Hearsay half of all CRX Del Sols were present in this meet, with notable mention to the silver unit.

Huge highlight for some people - a Chevrolet Camaro in Singaporean soil. American
cars are not common let alone popular, plus American classics are very commonly left-hand drive.
No doubt a highlight for an iconic American nameplate to be registered here in Singapore.

Duo combo I wouldn't think achievable. Two high (one high, one mid)
level C-Klasses, one a product of AMG, the other a simple mid-level
spec. Both V6s, both incredibly hard to find.

Feel free to read our other articles - return back to the coverage on the BMW M5 Touring in collaboration with this Cars 'N' Kopi, or an alternate post as to why I didn't show up in the Elan.

Happy browsing!

~Linus
