This blog is dedicated to our sharings about general car enthusiast life in Singapore and others, a bit of a personal memorial of our youth and what we've done, seen, experienced, enjoyed. Sadly due to how things are run here, not all cars can live a full life as they would be intended. As such, we will try to document whatever we can and archive photos of what will one day become forgottens of the past. Life is a finite experience.

SG Archives: Honda Civic Type R (EK9)

 

One of the duo EK9 Type Rs seen again!

Its great to be seeing this genuine Honda Civic Type R again.

This Civic Type R, like the other one, has been restored at some point in its life. 

Prior to its sale a few years ago, it even was down to the OEM Type R wheels which can be seen in one of my first writeups posted onto this website (linked below!). It was on a stock-ish stance previously, but later was lowered with similar wheel camber that you see now. It now runs on a set of MUGEN MC10L wheels, color coded to the Championship White paintwork - as one does.

Seen here is being used as a pickup vehicle. It is still being used as a family car and I have seen (and heard) this car being used as such. Its a super nice reminder that these cars, especially with little mods, are very usable for family transport instead of the usual stripped out interior and noisy modifications.

You can read more of this car and better photos before it changed plates in the article linked below. I may do a more comprehensive lookover of the EK9 in the future. Maybe better photos, or a whole photoshoot, you never know. The idea's always there 👐
