The V12 successor lined with heritage has made its debut on the sunny roads of Singapore - even in an HDB estate.
I've never heard of this Ferrari model until a friend shared his findings of this car.
The Ferrari 12Cilindri (translated literally to 12 cylinder in English) is a successor to the discontinued 812 Superfast. That car was, well, super fast, making use of a V12 that at its non-special edition level outputted almost 800 horsepower and was able to do 0-100km/h in under 3 seconds.
The new 12 cylinder Ferrari is then, a successor to the 12 cylinder front-engined Ferrari. I'm intrigued that it received a literal name as opposed to the other more recent models. It reminds me of the Maserati Quattroporte - a direct translation to "four doors" in English. Its Italian, so it sounds exotic.
The 12Cilindri is a different shell over the same (howver revised and quoted 830 horsepower) V12 that powered the 812 Superfast, now harking back to Ferraris legacy via its design, which is much more softer and personally more exotic than the aggressive-focused 812.

The front design takes heavy inspiration from the Ferrari 365 GTB Daytona, a design that was delivered by the design brief of taking inspiration from Ferraris Grand Tourer models from the 50s to the 60s. The daylight-running light (DRL) that stretches to the end of the bumper does reflect an older "squared" headlight design, however still feeling modern.
The 12Cilindri is a rear-wheel drive model, so expensive tyre-thrashing is still very doable. Paired with the powertrain is a 8-speed dual-clutch transmission - somewhat expected I would assume by Ferrari enthusiasts but I would like to sit back and see if they will come out with anything else like a revived manual (which they won't, and I'm not the target audience - no way will I be able to afford one)
This as I have been told is the first Singaporean-registered Ferrari 12Cilindri. I assume there will be more to come next time, although I don't know how popular they are among customers of the prancing horse.
This sits above the average price point for a current new Ferrari - the Purosangue and SF90 costs more than the 12Cilindri, asking their respective prices of S$2,214,492 and S$2,108,000 without COE and for the SF90, the standard variant. The SF90 Stradale Assetto Fiorano is a whopping S$2,899,000.
The closest in price would be the F8 Tributo at a price of S$1,798,000 with COE. The 12Cilindri is quoted at a price of S$1,885,040, with the Spider convertible variant asking S$2,071,475 - I don't believe there is one that has been sold in Singapore yet.
So, more to come eventually if I can assume correctly. I welcome these as I would with every other Ferrari since it's at least nice to see compared to run-of-the-mill EVs with badges that enthusiasts hate.
