About this website

This blog is dedicated to our sharings about general car enthusiast life in Singapore and others, a bit of a personal memorial of our youth and what we've done, seen, experienced, enjoyed. Sadly due to how things are run here, not all cars can live a full life as they would be intended. As such, we will try to document whatever we can and archive photos of what will one day become forgottens of the past. Life is a finite experience.

Feriko: Stickerbombing ""a little""

Yeah only a few stickers (probably). Game-intended stickers now on a real car!

After the work from the previous post (linked in read more below), I must say that the car sounds a lot quieter and to my taste now. Idle is soft if not nearly inaudible now, the only hinderance is the engine mounts vibrating the engine car.

I do glaze the sound that the car makes, but it work only in the interior. There is an ugly rasp in the exhaust note outside and sounds very metallic - tin-can-esque sound. I have forgotten completely to ask for an exhaust resonator.

After some reading, the best choices for resonators to remove the rasp is likely a 14.5" or 15" diameter resonator pipe. I'll look into it sometime in the future.

Door handles are replaced as is the air intake. Attached is the state of the original one that used to be in the box. Well-used and better to change before using.

The engine bay now looks a bit more OEM compared to before now. Ideally, my future plans for the car is to keep most of the original parts, but for things like hoses, have them changed to aftermarket ones like Samco hoses and what not. I've been spoiled by the "tuner" look of the Lotus engine bay and its shiny bits as are the hoses.

As for the exhaust, the mounting hangers for the sedan and hatchback are the same, but in the case for the sedan, the muffler tip is actually longer to accomodate for the sedan's rear bumper. The tip in this case had to be extended out as seen. Friend has told me the welds are bad (done by my workshop)

The stickers I bought from the other day and in the Part Hauls post I decided to go and stick. I'll be completely honest in that I have absolutely zero hands-on experience especially related to anything like this. After buying basic tools and liquids to prepare and stick, I got to work and I think its quite alright.

I went ahead to replace the rear badges with more appropriate ones. The whole car looks much nicer in my opinion this way.

The stickers in question were mostly actually designed by me, some as far back as three years ago. They were all intended for use on fictional cars, yet now they're on cars in the real world. I must say I'm quite proud of that; except for the Honda Primo sticker that I designed a few months ago that have a typo in the text. Honda Primo now spells out "Prius" instead, lol.
