About this website

This blog is dedicated to our sharings about general car enthusiast life in Singapore and others, a bit of a personal memorial of our youth and what we've done, seen, experienced, enjoyed. Sadly due to how things are run here, not all cars can live a full life as they would be intended. As such, we will try to document whatever we can and archive photos of what will one day become forgottens of the past. Life is a finite experience.

  • If you're looking for any specific content (i.e specific cars, etc), please use the search function and use your PC's Ctrl + F Search function. Unfortunately due to Blogger's shortcomings, the website's search function is not intuitive, so the Ctrl + F function helps alot. Happy reading!

Introductions: Charade / Satria RX

Introduction: CharadeRX

 Good morning, afternoon, night.

Well, do know that my presence here will not be a pronounced one, as Efini is more invested with this page than I could. But mainly, I assist him with back-end stuff, some technical work or compiling what he needs. You'll likely be seeing me write a piece or two regarding things that he may need in the future or what not.

Not to say I have zero interest with this page, I do, but I generally just don't have anything I want to share, but again, anything that I could interject or help with, I'll definitely like to.

I look forward to working with you. Peace.

-CharadeRX

Edit: I have since changed my user to SatriaRX, so do refer to be under that alias going forward. Thank you. By the way, I know it is confusing, but I am handling the @CelestarCars Instagam, even though Emiri is the one doing the writeups. That'll be changed at a later date.

Introduction: Linus

 Introduction: Linus

Good day.

Primarily, I involve myself in real-life locations and events and will be one of the frequent posters on this blog.

What are my interests?

Primarily older cars. It doesn't have to be infamous or sought after, I have a keen eye on older cars as a whole, and not just the performance types. I can and will be interested in the likes of the Nissan March, Proton Saga, and other cars that once graced our generation or the previous.

What equipment do I use? As of 26 June 2023, I use a Sony a6400 with 55-210mm lens for long mid-long distance photography, and 16-50mm lens for close distance photography, such as car meets.

Having bought the camera in June 4 2022, its been over a year with the first camera I owned.

Other devices that I typically use include a Samsung S22, an iPhone SE, a Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo and an 4th generation iPod Touch.

Majority of these devices apart from those like the Sony and Samsung will not frequently be featured on the blog, but I hope it provides some variety when they appear on the blog.

What's the current transportation pod?
As of the writing of this introduction (26/6/23), the choice of transport is a 2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C350 W204.

This is more of a recent acquisition, our ex-car was a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer EX 2.0 renewed with a 5-year COE.

What's the hopeful goal that I have?
Having an unhealthy addiction to motorized transport calls for unwise choices in life. The current hope is getting attainable dream cars, because the actual dream ones are priced out of attainability (Peek Mazda RX7 for reference)

In Singapore, I hope to someday own a Daihatsu Charade GTti, Singapore's boy-racer car of the 90's and one that is fondly loved by enthusiasts as a first car, alongside the Suzuki Swift GTi.

There's a slim chance that I will ever be able to sample these, for as of the time of writing, only two are left roaming the island.

In Malaysia, I stick by the aspiration for the hot (or warm depending on how you look at things) hatch, so the Proton Satria GTi is high on the list.

This was actually the very first attainable dream car that I aspired to own, but having realized that none were in Singapore anymore (I hope to cover this topic in the future!), I eventually sought after the Daihatsu. However in its home market, the Satria GTi is still available and is something that I hope to look for in the future.

Conclusion
I will be a primary figure on this blogpost that will cover real events and places, whilst Emira will be covering Roblox and Celestar Islands, and anyone else who may be on board in the future. Although I didn't express my personality and anything else, I hope that this small introduction will be enough for you to gauge who I am and what my interests are.

Until we meet again in a future blog. Goodbye!

Introduction: Emiri

  Introduction: Emiri

Hello!

On this page, I'm the one specializing in ROBLOX articles, whilst FD takes over on the IRL tasks.

As you'd expect, my content is solely based on ROBLOX cars and the Celestar Islands map.

This whole blog was originally inspired by Noriyaro's early era of the Noriyaro website and dorohoteki in the Roblox Car Community and his very direct influence from his website to articles on this blog.

Maybe to stir up some form of lore:

Here in Celestar Islands, I primarily drive a 2000 Proton Satria GTi, one of two that I have owned before. The previous car was an identical year model, painted in black and swapped with an All-Wheel Drive drivetrain and a supercharger to push the motor to just under 200 Horsepower. That car was later sold to accommodate for personal reasons, but I am back in another Satria GTi, a silver unit with slight modifications done-up by the previous owner.

Primarily, I operate as a student, but I often work as a part-time journalist documenting the car culture here in Celestar. Racing both on track and illicit races on public mountain roads is what I do want to cover eventually, since these will never last long from the inherent risks. But nevertheless, I strive and have done a few articles and have assisted in a few local magazines that has both front covers made by me or featured articles written by me. With this blog do I hope to reach out more to the net and place my two cents on certain cars and cultures.

I leave lots of probably pivotal information on the table because I can't think of them now, however I hope that what I've written will be enough for you, the reader, to get an idea of what I'll be doing here. Till next time!

Introduction: Efini

Hello, good morning all.

I'm more or less just here to promote any external work, though initially I was to begin assisting if not author some of the other posts that Linus would have done.

However, I'm going to be here to promote and assist with the formatting of some of the posts here and there, glad to be formally on board now.

Random assortment of questions you didn't ask, but I'll answer so you know me better.

Refer to Linus' introduction to know more because we share identical ideas, but I'll just toss in a few questions of identical theme anyways.

Favorite car?

Too much. Let's see, shall we.

Yeah, still a Daihatsu Charade GTti. Pocket rocket of the late 80's to early 90's, the first car to hit 100 horsepower per litre, 3-door configuration and a squared yet rounded rear shape. Its a win from me.

Two ways for this. I'm all in for a Honda Civic EK4. Mind, note I didn't say the configuration, as Singaporeans would normally do to differentiate between the sedan and hatchback. Let us just say that I want both. The JDM Civic EK4 SiR hatchback I'm all in for, but I'm also super keen on a EK4 Si sedan.

Bet you didn't know that the EK4 Si sedan is actually a thing. But the dream Honda is still a EK9 Type R.

B16B and stiffened chassis, I'm keen. I'm particularly keen on a silver one that is also a pre-facelift, if that combo actually exists and I'm not talking out of my...

Well, I'm pulled right in into Malaysian cars too. I wouldn't mod my dream Proton Satria GTi like this, stock rectangle dual exit exhaust system, stock wheels or Watanabe wheels... yeah that'd be it. Perhaps a steering wheel as silver-ish as the interior itself. Done deal.

Well, I'm all in for a Subaru Impreza WRX. A STi isn't necessary, just a WRX. The early wheels are chef's kiss, this variant of Impreza almost never gets coverage, and in the shade of red is pure.

I cannot be asked to find a SiR, so the Honda Civic Si, otherwise EF3, is to me, a nicer and much more attainable proposition. Checking with Efini and the rest of the editors, I can pick one for cheap for around 16-30k in Malaysia.

If I were to get a dream spec Nissan S13, I find the coupe cool, but I'm overexposed to the liftback Nissan 200SX. 1.8L CA18 turbo and the "Pignose" pre-facelift looks. I mean, the Type X is nice but in my opinion overdone. This is what I'd want to dig for.

Why write?

I like it more than talking, to be honest. I'm extremely awkward in a real scenario, mind you, but writing is both allowing me to just say whatever, and I can also keep track on it.

But why I write is also because I'm you could say a "poser" towards older media. Like the rest of the editors here, I'm keen on archival works, Singapore's ex-cars, and so much more. Its a piece of history we don't see anymore.

Goals?

Life comfortably to afford my expensive hobbies. Thank you.

Final words?
No idea, I just realized I spend this entire post dedicated to telling you the cars I want to get. Sorry, I'm really boring. I'll make up for other posts next time. For now, see you next time whenever I post something onto here. Thank you.
